Have you ever heard the saying “Scent should whisper”? It’s the idea that a good perfume is meant to be subtle, never overbearing. And while that might come off as an aesthetic choice, it’s grounded in practicality as well. What smells amazing to one person can cause a headache in another. And for kids, it’s even more important to be aware of fragrance: it’s one of the most common triggers for irritation and sensitivity when it comes to kids’ skincare products. For us at Rini, it was an easy choice to make products that are, and always will be, fragrance-free.
Fragrance isn’t necessary and by leaving it out, we know that our formulas are centered around proven ingredients that work to support healthy skin. The result is products that are less likely to irritate sensitive skin or lead to unwanted reactions, making them a safer choice for many children. Sounds easy enough to shop for right? Not quite. Terms like “fragrance-free”, “unscented”, and “natural fragrance” are used interchangeably and mean very different things.
